What is the Educational Enrichment Fund?

  • It is a perpetual fund designed to promote, support, challenge and enrich quality educational opportunities for students enrolled in the School District of Ladysmith in the areas of fine arts, English/language arts, foreign language, math and science.
  • It supports the goals of our children as they strive for excellence and dare to dream of what may be.
  • It is a professionally managed fund, overseen by a volunteer board of directors. The money is managed by the Rusk County Community Foundation, a non-profit established to provide such services to organizations in Rusk County by which individuals, families, businesses and alumni can contribute to their favorite causes through lifetime and estate gifts.
  • Distribution of funds will begin in 2013 following an initial fundraising period. Applications for grants will be taken with awards presented in the fields of math, science, foreign language, English/language arts and fine arts.
  • Thanks to a generous donor, a matching gift offers us a special opportunity to double our donations (up to $100,000 per year for a period of five years) starting in 2012. Our goal is a $1 million dollar fund by 2017.
