What Is the Ladysmith Educational

Enrichment Fund (LEEF)?

1.   It is a perpetual fund designed to promote, support and enrich quality educational opportunities for students enrolled in the School District of Ladysmith in the areas of fine arts, English/language arts, social studies, history, foreign language, math and science.

2.   It supports the goals of our children as they strive for excellence and dare to dream of what may be.

3.   It is professionally managed—overseen by a volunteer board of directors. The fund is managed by the Rusk County Community Foundation, a non-profit established to provide such services to organizations in Rusk County by which individuals, families, businesses and alumni can contribute to their favorite causes through lifetime and estate gifts.

4.   Distribution of funds began in 2013-14 following an initial fund raising period. Since that time over $40,000 in grants have been awarded.
