LMHS instructors, Matt Bunton and Steve Alberson put together a project for the AP Environmental Science class and the 6th grade students to be completed in the spring of 2021. The sum of $800 was awarded to purchase apple trees to establish an apple orchard on the school grounds, enhancing the school’s other urban agriculture projects (vegetable gardens, maple syrup, hydroponic lettuce and bee hives.) Principal Greg Posewitz was awarded $1,500 for KAMI, a leading digital classroom app built to transform existing documents into an interactive learning experience which would be available for use by all LMHS students.
