What Is the Ladysmith Educational Enrichment Fund (LEEF)?

  • It is a perpetual fund designed to promote, support and enrich quality educational opportunities for students enrolled in the School District of Ladysmith in the areas of fine arts, English/language arts, social studies, history, foreign language, math and science.
  • It supports the goals of our children as they strive for excellence and dare to dream of what may be.
  • It is professionally managed—overseen by a volunteer board of directors. The fund is managed by the Rusk County Community Foundation, a non-profit established to provide such services to organizations in Rusk County by which individuals, families, businesses and alumni can contribute to their favorite causes through lifetime and estate gifts.
  • Distribution of funds began in 2013-14 following an initial fund raising period. Since that time over $52,000 in grants have been awarded.
