Student Council - The student council is elected by the student body. It is a service organization for the welfare of the students and the school.

Art Club - This club meets once per month after school. It is open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Students work on special art projects and take a field trip in the spring.

Drama Club - Participation in the spring play is open to all students in grades 6th, 7th and 8th. Involvement opportunities include acting, set design, program design, costuming, directing and make-up.

Spelling Bee Students in grades 5th – 8th may participate in our district’s spelling bee. The winners from each grade compete for the right to move up to the regional spelling bee (CESA 10). The regional winner may move to state and national contests.

National Geographic Geography Bee – The National Geographic magazine sponsors a yearly bee. All students take part in a qualifying test. The top twelve to fifteen students with the best scores participate in a school championship. The winner writes a test that is sent to National Geographic for grading. The top one hundred students in the state are invited to the state contest. The winner there goes on to the national contest.

Solo Ensemble – Students in 7th and 8th grade band and/or choir may prepare pieces for performance in front of a certified judge.


Basketball - Each boy and girl in the 7th and 8th grade has a chance to participate on the team. Approximately ten games are played each year.

Wrestling - Students in grades 5th – 8th may choose to participate in this sport.

Volleyball - Girls in grades 7th and 8th are eligible to participate in volleyball.

Football - Students in grades 5th – 8th have an opportunity to participate on the football team.

Track and Field – This is open to all 6th - 8th grade boys and girls.

Cross Country – This sport is open to 5th-8th grade boys and girls. Students practice with the high school team.
