Blast off to 4K- Registration Now Open

To ensure that every eligible child has the opportunity to participate in this valuable program, the School District of Ladysmith will be holding a special 4K registration and a brief developmental screening day. Families of students turning 4 years old before September 1, 2025 are encouraged to attend!

WHEN: Wednesday, March 21, 2025

WHERE: Ladysmith Elementary School

TIME: 8:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

**New for 2025-2026, Ladysmith will be piloting

an all-day FIVE DAY-A-Week 4K Program**

Child Development Day will be held the same time as our 4K registration event on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. We encourage children turning 3 or 4 years old before Sept. 1, 2025 to attend! It is a time to have your child come to school for a brief Developmental Screening from our Early Childhood Team. Our team will evaluate key skills such as motor development, language, socialization and early learning abilities. It is also a time to ask questions about child development, learn about community resources and address any concerns you might have! (click here for more information)

How to Register

Children who will be four years old on or before September 1, 2025, and live within the School District of Ladysmith or would like to open-enroll are eligible to register for 4-year old Kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year.

All registration information for the district is collected electronically through Skyward, an online enrollment and student management system. The system is designed to make student enrollment easy and flexible for families so that you can enroll your child on your time from the convenience of your home.

Open Enrollment: If your child will be opened enrolled into our district, you will also need to compete the Open Enrollment application by April 30, 2025 - 4:00 p.m. (click here)
